December is a month for gathering with family and friends, exchanging warmth and gifts. However, the decorations and gift packaging after the parties can also burden the Earth. This December, 'Green in Tuen Mun' will hold the 'Green Wishes for a Winter in Tuen Mun' event, gathering with fellow environmentalists to reduce waste and upcycle, celebrating a Green and Thrifty Winter!
How can we have an environmentally friendly winter? Here are some tips from our editor
Home Decoration: Use natural pine cones and dried flowers for DIY decorations
Gifting: Opt for simple packaging or use recyclable materials
Gatherings: Only order as much food as you can finish to reduce food waste
Let us introduce the event in more detail. The day will be packed with exciting activities, including the ever-popular eco-workshops, 'Finding the Cow' game, free second-hand market, and eco-exhibition. We will be sharing tips for a Green and Thrifty Christmas, and of course, there will be fun and educational booth games testing your knowledge on various environmental issues, with fabulous prizes to be won!
Mark your calendars and invite your family and friends to join us at 'Green in Tuen Mun'!
Activities: Green and Thrifty Christmas Exhibition, Eco-Workshops, Free Second-hand Market, Booth Games, and 'Finding the Cow' Special Event
